About us

People's Centre for Change started in 2010 as a group of family carers of adults with severe learning disabilities, autism and complex needs who campaigned against the closure of Shoot-Up-Hill day centre. In 2012, we won a reprieve from Camden Council.

People's Centre aims to fill in the gap in provision and set up a modern alternative to the traditional day centre where local people with support needs can find excellent, adapted and flexible activities and support in a friendly, small scale and inclusive environment.

We work with and support family carers and friends.

We are developing our service model, capacity and business plan to scale up our activities.

People's Centre is a charitable, not for profit, organisation. Our creative, social and therapeutic activities as well as our volunteering support and development depend on grants and donations. Participants also contribute to make it all possible.

Please make a donation. Contact us by email if you would like a receipt or a card if you prefer to support us through a regular standing order or Give As You Earn donation which would enable us to claim tax on it.

We are fundraising separately to be able to buy the building. Please contact us to discuss a donation specifically for this purpose.
